Shit, Showered And Shaved 24.02.

I’ve just spent the last hour or so in the bathroom. Only about twenty minutes of that was in the shower, but while I was lathering up, I got to thinking, do masculine women go through this shit?

Before I got in the shower, I clipped nails, took off old nail polish, emptied the Nair bottle (for those sensitive areas). While I was in the shower, I made sure I shaved the areas that didn’t get Nair’d. I exfoliated. I washed my hair, combed while I conditioned. Stayed in until the water ran cold. When I got out, I spent more time twirling my conditioned hair around my fingertips to make sure my curls cooperated, I arched my eyebrows, and oiled most of my body. And after I finish this post, I still have to polish my toes.

As I’m going through this entire process, I wondered, do masculine women do all of this for us?

I’ve dated masculine women & feminine women and their hygiene habits were different according to the person. It seems that the more masculine the women thought she was (or claimed to be) the less of a hygiene routine she had.

Don’t get me wrong, we’re not talking about showering and brushing teeth, the basic kind of stuff. I’m talking about the hygiene habits that are normally associated with being a woman.

They don’t shave their underarms as often. If they do at all. It never surprises me to see a woman with a large bush under their arms. And if they have a bush there, then you know what’s in store down there…

The feminine women I’ve dated went to the extremes. Constantly shaving ninety percent or more of their body on a daily basis. Bald cooch, bald underarms, bald legs. Completely hairless. That extreme is a bit unnecessary because I’ll tell you right now, I didn’t do all of that.

The girls that were caught somewhere in the middle between masculine and feminine, often commented about my practices. Specifically, my trimmed cooch. One girl told me that I was the only girl she had ever been with that had bothered to tame that area. And considering she was a bit of a whore friendly, I didn’t know how to take her comment.

There was one feminine girl I dated, who had to shower & shave just before any intimate act. One morning, I woke up and rubbed her face and I realized why. She had a five o’clock shadow that would rival any adult male. This shadow started at her face, trailed down her neck into her cleavage and beyond. I understood and appreciated her shaving rituals.

I’ve rambled. Could have something to do with the liquor I’ve had today…

Anyway, I still gotta do my toes before I leave for the airport to see the Lil Monkey. I know that all my efforts will be appreciated and noticed…

BTW, did yall vote today?

      Yes, ma’am!

Speaking as a “masculine” woman, I can say that I take just as long to get ready as feminine women. Sometimes longer. I do everything you mentioned, save polishing my nails. I take so long that my girlfriend always showers first so that she won’t run out of hot water, lol! I feel more confident when I’m perfectly groomed from head to toe. As much as women teased me about my “pretti boi” habits, they appreciated the end result.

Oh, and yes, I voted. Several times! :-)

      Glad to see you here!

You do all that stuff? I’m sure they did appreciate not having to deal with all that hair, lol…Thanks for your masculine feedback!

Yes, I really do all that stuff, lol! This may be TMI, but here’s a rough breakdown:

The shaving/trim/Nair and mani-pedi is part of the weekly or biweekly ritual (complete with bubble bath), usually reserved for “me-time” on Sundays and for special events.

For the daily ritual, I use 2-3 kinds of soap (for different parts of my body) and a light body oil and/or lotion. Then it’s oral hygiene: pre-rinse-floss-brush-final rinse. Next is facial skin care: wash/exfoliate-tone-moisturize. Finally, there’s hair grooming: condition/brush/do-rag.

It seems like a lot, but the daily process takes only an hour (including getting dressed and any finishing touches). Again, I know, T.M.I. I just wanted show that bois care about proper hygiene too!

An hour? I don’t think it takes me an hour to get ready even when I’m in full make up? Lawd Hammercy!

My girl has coined a new nickname for me just yesterday. She now calls me “Mr. Hour Shower.” Lol!

Happy to know that so many bois clock the “Me-Time” hours as the femmes! There is nothing to compare to a good smelling, pressed, trimmed, tender, sweet, fall-into-precious-places, kissable women!

    Enjoy your trip, Alix!

During the spring and summer, I’m obsessed with not having any hair. I shave down there, under my arms, my legs, and I’ve even taking on the habit to shaving my arms.

For some reason, it gives me a really clean feeling as the wind blows up against it. (My skin also receives my oils better that way.) It’s kind of like how it feels when you have a nice, clean scalp. I just like the feeling that it gives me internally and externally. I guess you can say it’s somewhat an addiction.

      Shaving your arms? Really?

      • Gee February 28, 2010 at 11:25 pm

But my arms be smooth though.

on the feminine/masculine scale I fall smack dab in the middle. I am a stickler for impeccable grooming habits and hygiene. My daily routine includes: all the things your mentioned, plus washing my hair (my hair is short so I can wash it daily)Just brushing my teeth is not enough. I brush, I rinse and I floss every time I eat…bad breath is not the business. I am obsessed with all things scented. I own many many bottles of perfume, scented lotions and scented body oils…its nothing worse than a woman who doesnt have a plesant scent when she steps out. Shaving is an entirely different issue. I shave every 2 days. It is so unattractive to me for a woman to have this mandingo bush growing between her thighs…no one wants to feel like they are licking a sheeps back when they are being intimate. Trust me, bald is always better.

    • ABG March 1, 2010 at 8:16 am

I think bald can be a personal preference. I know too many women that don’t like to feel as though they are being a pedaphile because the woman they are with have no trace of hair…

Bois totally take as long, even longer than femmes to get ready. I know I do. My girl is constantly complaining about my “getting ready” time, but she admits to appreciating the fact that I do take that time, and will go the extra mile. It’s something I’ve been doing ever since I was a shorty. Sometimes, the amounbt of time I take to pick out my outfit rivals my in shower time, but it’s all good in the end.

It’s also nice to know that the thin line between bois and girls is so thin when it comes to our hygiene.
